Quick thoughts on comics: OMAC #1 I really love the art. I really like the retro-Kirby vibe they have going and I find it’s the only way to make that character design work, and I feel bad for any other comic that wants to have Omac as a guest star, because he’ll look really stupid. I can’t decide about the writing. I can’t decide if it’s shitty because it’s trying to also mimic Kirby’s over the top style from back in the day, or if Dan Didio is just a shitty writer. Or if Dan Didio is a shitty writer who can’t help but do a shitty job of mimicking Kirby’s over the top style from back in the day. I might give it another issue, but the writing really bugs me.
