Quick thoughts on comics: Batman v2 #1
This was great! Scott Snyder continues to use Gotham City as his lead character, which continues nicely from his run on Detective Comics. Snyder uses all kinds of neat comic book narrative tricks to set up an interesting little murder mystery.
I was pleasantly surprised by Capullo’s art, though I have to be honest that I haven’t seen his art since the mid-90s. But he has that dynamic kind of Image Comics, in-your-face thing going on, but it’s stylized but also restrained. I can’t wait for the next issue.
