Quick thoughts on comics: Birds of Prey #1
With the exception of the silly “Let Us Prey” title, Duane Swierczynski did a great job here, setting up a nice slow story. Half the characters on the cover don’t show up in the book, so it’s doing the Justice League slow-burn intro to this new team.
I gave up on Gail Simone’s run on the title early, so I’m looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
Jesus Saiz’s art is great, as always.
Duane Swierczynski, just saying, might write a great Catwoman book, if DC ever wanted to, you know, jettison Judd Winick.
