Quick thoughts on comics: DC Universe Presents #1
Hey, not bad. I think Deadman is a stupid character, right down to the big fucking “D” on his chest. But the way his origin was set up here was pretty good. I don’t know if Paul Jenkins contradicts much that came before, but keeping Deadman more or less separate from the rest of the DC Universe is a good choice.
Bernard Chang’s art is really good and handles both the fantastic supernatural stuff and “real world” stuff with great style.
I’ll probably check out the next issue to see if it gets better.
