Quick thoughts on comics: Green Lantern Corps #1 First of all, this story is titled “Triumph of the Will” and I’m not sure that naming your story after a Nazi propaganda movie is the right move for a first issue. I still don’t like Green Lantern as a concept much, but Peter Tomasi did a decent job of making douchebag Guy Gardner seem a little more sympathetic. Of all the Green Lantern titles released in the new 52, this one comes the closest to what I’m looking for out of the concept, putting it a bit closer to a procedural with space cops and soldiers rather than a big sci-fi/fantasy epic. Fernando Pasarin’s art is nice, but it’s still not enough to get me to read a Green Lantern book. Dropped.
