Quick thoughts on comics: I, Vampire #1
Joshua Fialkov did a pretty impressive job of cramming a lot of vampire history into not a lot of pages. I’m not immediately hooked, but there’s a lot of potentially interesting stuff here.
Andrea Sorrentino’s art is really working hard to be Jae Lee here, and it fits the book, though it can be a bit hard to follow here and there. I think this book would read better in a trade, and I think that’s a shame, because it means it’ll likely get cancelled really soon.
Was this another former Vertigo property? Or a long-lost DC thing?
