Quick thoughts on comics: The Savage Hawkman #1
For the love of all that’s good in comics, stop letting Tony Daniel write things. I don’t know how many “grim & gritty” interior monologue cliches he can abuse before he runs out, but maybe that would be good because it’d force him to actually think of something original.
Philip Tan’s artwork looks a lot brighter here than anything I’ve seen of his before, it also looks a bit looser. But man, this is a tough thing to read.
