Finally saw the Muppet movie.
Better late than never.
It wasn’t children’s fare, to reintroduce the Muppets to a new generation. And it wasn’t a nostalgia movie for adults who grew up with the Muppets. It was like fan fiction. A vanity project for Jason Segel.
It wanted to be like a Pixar movie, or the Simpsons, which entertains children, but winks at grown-ups, but didn’t really succeed at either.
I enjoyed it, but it was a weird thing to watch.
